The Vinegar book Great uses of Vinegar

Vinegar articles - Cutting Odors With Vinegar

Are you having troubles with an odor in your home that you just cant seem to get rid of?  Maybe you are not even sure where or what the smell is coming from.  There is such a simple and inexpensive way to get rid of that odor for good.  Fill a bowl or pan full of vinegar then place it in the center of the room that seems to be the problem area.  After the pan or bowl has been placed for twenty-four hours in the room with the problem the smell will be gone.  It is so simple and easy that it is almost unbelievable that something so cheap and inexpensive such as vinegar could be so effective at taking odors away.  As the vinegar sits for twenty-four hours it absorbs the odor, no matter what the odor is, then leaves your room-smelling odor free and fresh once again.  I find this tip very useful in the kitchen after something has burnt.  The burnt smell seems to linger around for days if not weeks but with the use of vinegar the burnt smell can be gone in as little as twenty-four hours.

If you have been a victim of a fire then you will know that the smell of smoke can be around forever.  If you are looking for an economical way of removing the smoke smell from your belongings then bread and vinegar is the answer that you have been looking for.  Simply take a piece of white bread and place it on a plate.  Next pour some vinegar over the white bread and set the plates all around your house especially in areas that the smokes smell is a problem.  The white bread and vinegar mixture will absorb the odor from the fire and smoke.  This mixture also works well in removing the smell from new paint, so after you have painted a room simply set a plate with white bread and vinegar and the new paint smell will be eliminated leaving you with a fresh smelling room.

Remove unpleasant odors from your room with vinegar and at the same time release a pleasant fresh scent.  I love how effective vinegar is when it comes to removing odors from your room but I also like a pleasant scent from candles.  I found out that I could have both an odorless house and a fresh clean scent.  All you have to do is place a bowl of vinegar on the coldest side of your room then on the warmer side of the room place a candle or an oil warmer.  Doing this will pull in the pleasant scent and at the same time will remove any unpleasant odors that is lingering in the room so you can see that with this process you can have an odorless room with a clean fresh scent.
