Vinegar articles - Getting rid of insects with vinegar

Vinegar has many uses that can save you money and time.  Not only can you use vinegar for cooking and personal solutions, but you can also use vinegar to help eliminate any of your annoying insect problems.  Vinegar is a safe and effective way to get rid of any insect.  You can feel safe when you use vinegar inside and outside of your home.  You do not have to worry about it harming your children or pets like some of the harsh chemicals that you can buy to take care of these problems.

Spraying vinegar around door and window frames and under appliances is a great way to keep ants from invading your house.  Cleaning place such as counter tops with vinegar will also keep flea ants away.  Speaking of fleas, to keep them away from your pets, add a little to their drinking water.  Little by little, that way they can get used to the taste. 

If you hate those annoying fruit flies that you can get anytime of year, then you need vinegar.  Use apple cider vinegar to wash fruit fly attracted spots.  Set a bowl of it to rid you house of them.  Another way is to put a teaspoon of sugar, two teaspoons apple cider vinegar and several drops of dish soap in a small shallow plastic container.  Fill the rest of the way up with water.  The flies are attracted to the vinegar, but the soap will kill them.  One other way is to take a small bowl and fill it part way with vinegar, and then wrap it with plastic wrap.  Poke a few small holes in the wrap and the fruit flies will fly in, but cannot fly out and they will drown in the vinegar.
